Mawgan Porth (and its neighbouring beaches of Watergate Bay and Constantine Bay) are year-round dog-friendly. So too are many of the local restaurants.

We are very happy for your dog to stay at Fourburrows – there’s a large garden and plenty of fantastic walks from the back door.

We do ask that dogs are kept off the furniture and kept downstairs and for owners to make sure that any dog mess from the garden is collected and disposed of.

As our family holiday home, we make sure that Fourburrows is kept child friendly! There is a playroom with toys, games and jigsaws as well as a second living room with bean bags and tv set up for games consoles for older children. One bedroom is set up as a child’s room and has a single bed and a toddler bed, plus there is a proper cot and mattress (not travel cot) at the house which can fit in any of the rooms with you.

For older children there is year round surfing (local surf school has 5 star rating on trip advisor), plus caves and rock pooling. For younger children, the beach has natural sandy pools that are left as the tide goes out for them to paddle in and acres of sand for them to run around.

We recommend bringing a baby backpack for trips to the beach as the quickest walk down is not buggy friendly (although it is possible to wind your way down a longer path with buggy).
